My work stems from an obsession to try to understand people, myself included, through the physical process of making.
By exploring the language of the human experience and physical form in a variety of media, I try to tease out human complexity.
Found and second hand objects and textiles hold an alluring and mysterious history that compels me to use them.
Through discarded, found objects, I see the potential to discus the psychological nature of humans and of loss.
In loss, I see potential for new life. In my work, I aim to weave together various narratives, known or unknown, with my own in an attempt to make sense of mystery and revive human connection.
